Alaska Announcement : Operations : M/V Horizon Consumer in AK Fleet 1.31.12

For your planning purposes, please note the M/V Horizon Lines Consumer will enter the Alaska fleet and replace the M/V Horizon Lines Kodiak for two voyages while she is in dry dock, beginning Friday, February 3, 2012.

Horizon Lines of Alaska has filed today with the Surface Transportation Board to increase the Ocean fuel surcharge as specified in Rule 339 (Fuel Related Surcharge) of our Alaska tariffs 301, 313, 314, 318, 453 and 462 from 28.0% to 29.0%. The effective date for this increase is February 12, 2012.

Horizon Lines of Alaska has filed today with the Surface Transportation Board a general rate increase of 4% in Alaska Tariff HRZK 301. The effective date of the increase is December 11, 2011.

Horizon Lines of Alaska has filed today with the Surface Transportation Board a general rate increase of 5% for freight moving to and from Kodiak, Alaska and Dutch Harbor, Alaska. This increase applies to Horizon Lines’ Alaska Tariffs 313, 314, 318 and 453 and will be effective on January 9, 2011.

Horizon Lines of Alaska has filed today with the Surface Transportation Board to increase the Ocean fuel surcharge as specified in Rule 339 (Fuel Related Surcharge) of our Alaska tariffs 301, 314, 453, 313, 318 and 462 from 22.5% to 23.5%. The effective date for this increase is November 29, 2010.
