PUERTO RICO SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Tropical Storm Emily – Update #3 // Horizon Trader Voyage TO435S Cutoff Advanced
Dear Valued Customer:
Currently, Tropical Storm Emily is approximately 90 miles south of Port-Au-Prince with forward movement West-Northwest at 5 MPH. Maximum sustained winds remain at 50 MPH.
Horizon Lines has been closely monitoring the progress of this storm. Based on TS Emily’s projected path and our vessel routing, there will be a change to our operations. To ensure the safety of our vessel and crew and the integrity of our customers’ shipments, we are advancing the cargo cutoff in Jacksonville on Friday to allow us to safely navigate around this storm.
Southbound Cargo Cutoff for Trader Voyage TO435S will be at 3:30PM Friday, August 5th in Jacksonville.
Horizon Lines’ Jacksonville terminal will have normal gate hours till 16:30 tomorrow, however loads arriving after our cutoff at 3:30PM risk not being loaded to the vessel. Please ensure all loads are furnished to Horizon Lines as early as possible to minimize the risk of delay on critical shipments.
