October 11th, 2011
PUERTO RICO SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
San Juan Dispatch Delay – Initial Update - REVISED
Dear Valued Customer:
Due to Operation Strike Force, an unannounced inspection and screening of containers by law enforcement, dispatch operations at our San Juan terminal could be delayed today. We do not anticipate this inspection will hinder receiving activities.
In order to mitigate the potential effects of this inspection, we will be extending our gate hours in San Juan until 8 p.m. tonight, October 11th, 2011 for dispatch of cargo arriving on Horizon Trader Voyage TO444S from Elizabeth. Cargo cut off will be 6 p.m. tonight, October 11, 2011 for Horizon Trader Voyage TO445N to Jacksonville.
Horizon Lines is aware of the effects that inspection delays have on our customers’ operations and will make every reasonable effort to ensure that effects from these delays are minimized. We will continue to provide timely and accurate updates on information that may affect your shipments.
If you have any questions, please contact your Horizon Lines Sales Representative
