Delivery Order Process & Demurrage and Customs Exams Fee Policies
Dear Valued Customer:
In order to ensure timely availability of your cargo, we have provided some important information below regarding delivery orders and fee policies.
Delivery Order Process
For door and forced carrier deliveries, please fax the delivery order to 972-813-5541 (or email: email@example.com) in advance of cargo arrival.
Please clearly identify the carrier by including one of the following statements on your delivery order: “assigned trucking to Horizon Lines” or “assigned trucking to [forced carrier name]”.
Note, this will not apply to merchant arranged deliveries. Please work directly with your motor carrier for these moves.
Demurrage and Customs Exam Fees Policies
Customers are responsible for payment of demurrage and customs exams fees prior to cargo release. For rail cargo, demurrage fees must be paid by rail arrival, otherwise you may be subject to additional rail storage fees.
Demurrage fees must be paid directly to Horizon Lines, while customs exams fees should be paid directly to the terminal operator.
