Horizon Lines of Alaska has filed today with the Surface Transportation Board a general rate increase of 5% for freight moving to and from Kodiak, Alaska and Dutch Harbor, Alaska. This increase applies to Horizon Lines’ Alaska Tariffs 313, 314, 318 and 453 and will be effective on January 9, 2011.
Horizon Lines is also changing its Kodiak Terminal Handling Charge to a flat rate of $250 per container and is adding a new $40 per container Dutch Harbor Marine Assessment Charge.
