PUERTO RICO SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Tropical Storm Maria – Update 9
Dear Valued Customer:
Tropical Storm Maria has changed course and is now expected to pass north of Puerto Rico Sunday morning. The US Coast Guard has also changed readiness status back to Whiskey, which will allow inbound and outbound vessels to the port of San Juan.
As a result of the projected path of the storm, the Horizon Navigator voyage NV489S has had to change course to safely route around the storm. As a result the vessel is expected to make a late arrival into San Juan Monday, September 12th.
At this time, we expect to start vessel discharge at 5PM on Monday, September 12th.
In order to mitigate the effects of this delay, Horizon Lines will be extending gate hours till 8PM on Monday the 12th for all dispatch and receiving activities.
Horizon Lines will continue to monitor this storm’s progress and update our customer base with any information that could affect our operations.
If you have any questions, please contact your Horizon Lines Sales Representative
or Customer Service at 1-877-678-7447.
Thank you for choosing Horizon Lines. Always There, Always Delivering. ®
