PUERTO RICO SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Tropical Storm Maria – Update 5
Dear Valued Customer:
The San Juan Terminal is still under Port Condition Whiskey, with the potential of being upgraded to Port Condition X-Ray around 8 pm tonight. Further upgrades in readiness status by the Coast Guard have the potential to affect incoming and outgoing vessel movements. Tropical Storm Maria is continuing her course towards the Caribbean.
The center of the storm is located approximately 605 miles East of the Windward Islands, moving West at 22 MPH. Maximum sustained winds are 40 MPH.
At this time, Horizon Lines expects an on-time arrival for Horizon Producer voyage PD672S. However, in anticipation of readiness status changes, Horizon Lines is advancing the cargo cutoff for our northbound voyage to Jacksonville tomorrow. Cargo cutoff for Horizon Producer voyage PD673N will be at 3:00PM tomorrow, Friday September 9th.
To avoid potential issues related to the approach of this storm, customers are encouraged to pick up arriving southbound loads and furnish northbound loads to our San Juan terminal as early as possible.
Horizon Lines will continue to monitor this storm’s progress and update our customer base with any information that could affect our operations.
If you have any questions, please contact your Horizon Lines Sales Representative
