Tropical Storm KAREN – Update #1
Dear Valued Customer:
This morning, The National Hurricane Center issued its first special advisory related to T.S. Karen.
T.S. Karen was located about 500 miles south of the mouth of the Mississippi River, continuing to move north-northwest at about 13 M.P.H. A hurricane watch is in effect east of Grand Isle, LA to Indian Pass, FL. At this time this storm poses no threat to our schedules or operations and all our terminals in the U.S. continue operating as scheduled.
Horizon Lines constantly monitors all storm and hurricane activity in the Atlantic and the Gulf to proactively anticipate any changes to our normal schedules. If further developments were announced by the National authorities we will issue additional bulletins.
