PUERTO RICO SERVICE BULLETIN
Winter Storm Pax Affecting East Coast – Second Update
Dear Valued Customer:
Winter Storm Pax is delivering widespread snow and ice throughout the South today, particularly in the Carolinas, Georgia and Alabama; more heavy snowfall, ice, and freezing rain are forecasted for the remainder of today and early tomorrow. Ice accumulation is likely to knock out power in many areas and litter roads with fallen trees and limbs and downed power lines.
Pax is expected to impact the Middle Atlantic and Northeast with snow and ice between tomorrow and Friday.
Horizon Lines continues to monitor this event closely along with the potential effects on our terminal operations in Philadelphia in the coming days as heavy snow and ice are forecasted.
Travel will become extremely difficult, if not completely impossible, in the hardest-hit areas, therefore, we strongly recommend our customers to furnish all cargo to Horizon Lines as early as possible in order to mitigate the risks associated with the storm.
If you have urgent issues that require immediate attention, please call our customer service number at 1-877-678-7447 and we’ll ensure your concerns are addressed as quickly as possible considering the circumstances.
