PUERTO RICO SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Tropical Storm Isaac - Update 7
Dear Valued Customer:
Tropical Storm Isaac has moved into the Gulf of Mexico and is expected to make landfall in Louisiana later this week. Isaac is currently 185 miles West-Southwest of Ft. Myers, FL. The storm is moving West-Northwest at 14MPH with maximum sustained winds at 65MPH.
All Horizon Lines terminals and ports are open, and we do not anticipate any closures due to this storm. We are currently assessing any intermodal delays and will advise affected customers accordingly. Customers are encouraged to furnish freight to Horizon Lines as early as possible in order to minimize effects on their supply chains.
Due to delays from the port closure in San Juan last week, the Horizon Challenger voyage CN574N to Houston is now scheduled to arrive in Houston on Friday, August 31st. Cargo cut off for southbound cargo on Challenger CN574S will be 4:30PM local Houston time on Friday, August 31st.
Horizon Lines is aware of the effects that arrival delays have on our customers’ operations and will make every reasonable effort to ensure these effects are minimized. We will continue to provide timely and accurate updates on information that may affect your shipments.
If you have any questions, please contact your Horizon Lines Sales Representative
or Customer Service at 1-877-678-7447.
Thank you for choosing Horizon Lines. Always There. Always Delivering.®
