Tropical Storm Isaac - Update 2
Dear Valued Customer:
The National Hurricane Center has identified Tropical Storm Isaac as the 9th named storm of the 2012 Atlantic Hurricane Season. The storm is located approximately 500 miles East of Guadeloupe, moving West at 17MPH with maximum sustained wind speeds of 40MPH.
Additionally the US Coast Guard, San Juan Sector has set port condition Whiskey in anticipation of gale-force winds within the next 72 hours. Escalation of the port readiness condition by the USCG may result in restricted vessel traffic in the coming days.
Customers are encouraged to furnish freight to Horizon Lines as early as possible in order to ensure any effects this storm has on their supply chains are minimized.
