PUERTO RICO SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
Horizon Challenger voyage CN560N – Revised ETA to Houston
Dear Valued Customer:
Sections of the Houston Ship Channel was closed until 10:00AM this morning due to fog, and has since
opened temporarily for outbound traffic. When the fog lifted this morning, there was a queue of
approximately 40 outbound ships needing to exit the Houston port zone prior to bringing inbound
ships to the dock. Further fog is anticipated this evening and tomorrow morning causing further
Considering all of these factors, Horizon Lines has adjusted our ETA to Houston. At this time,
northbound cargo availability is expected to commence on Friday morning, March 2nd. This is subject
to change based on our ability to bring the ship to the dock.
We will provide a second update on the arrival of CN560N tomorrow - when a more definitive ETA can
In order to ensure an expedient departure from Houston, we are not changing the southbound cargo
cutoff for voyage CN560S. Customers should plan on furnishing all of their southbound freight to
Horizon prior to the 4:30PM cargo cutoff tomorrow, Thursday, March 1st.
