Horizon Lines of Alaska has filed today with the Surface Transportation Board to increase the fuel surcharge as specified in Rule 339 of our Alaska tariffs from 11.5% to 12.5%. The effective date for this increase is May 3, 2009

Horizon Lines would like to inform you of an upcoming change in the Transpacific (TP1) Service, providing container service between the US and Guam. Beginning with the Horizon Tiger TG023W on Sunday, May 31st, 2009, the TP1 vessels will no longer call the Port of Tacoma, and instead will call Los Angeles, with continuing service to Oakland.

In order to accomplish some minor repair work on the Horizon Kodiak, the KO741N, sailing from Tacoma on Friday, 5/8/09, will bypass Dutch Harbor on Friday 5/15/09 and return directly from Kodiak to Tacoma. She will arrive in Anchorage on Tuesday, 5/12/09, and in Kodiak on Wednesday, 5/13/09, returning directly to Tacoma following Kodiak operations.
