Wal-Mart Awards Horizon Lines 2007 Jones Act Carrier of the Year
CHARLOTTE, N.C. (April 3, 2008) – Horizon Lines, Inc., (NYSE:HRZ), the nation's leading domestic ocean shipping and integrated logistics company, has been awarded the Jones Act Carrier of the Year for 2007 by Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. The award is presented each year to a domestic ocean carrier to recognize best-in-class schedule reliability and exceptional customer service. The award was presented during a tour of Horizon Lines’ Honolulu terminal by a group from the retailer’s logistics management team on Tuesday, April 1.
